Closure Notice

CLOSURE OF HAWKHURST BRANCH RAILWAY LINE

On and from MONDAY, 12th JUNE 1961 all services will be withdrawn from the Hawkhurst branch line and HORSMONDEN, GOUDHURST, CRANBROOK and HAWKHURST stations, also Churn Lane and Pattenden sidings, will be closed.

British Railways will continue to provide collections and delivery services for parcels and freight sundries throughout the area and facilities for truck load traffic exist at other stations in the vicinity.
